Memories with MeeMee

That morning, we made the short drive to Conroe (35 minutes) away to see Meemee!  This is the outside of her new adorable apartment.

It is beautifully decorated with her nicest things from her home and it backs up to a national park. She said she found it very comforting to be there in the home she shared with Grandad (they moved there from their home of 44 years a couple years ago).

The girls with their sweet, sweet MeeMee.

We gave MeeMee a new little Raggedy Ann doll.

As always, my MeeMee was incredibly engaging with the girls and a joy to be around  We enjoyed a nice lunch at her place with my Aunt Linda (who prepared the most delicious soup and croissant sandwiches with chicken salad)!

And then it was time for MeeMee to take a rest to be ready for the open-house that night.  So we left to meet Aunt Leigha at the Children's Museum of Houston.
It was special to take the girls there, because I have memories of my grandparents taking me there when I was a little girl.

Aunt Leigha was in her element in the stock exchange with supply and demand and commodities!

The girls favorite place was the grocery store.
Anna did some serious shopping.

Then checked herself out with Daddy's help.

Then we did a super cool obstacle course as family.
Finally, we did a building project.  Aunt Leigha and Faith made the large tower behind them.

Brad and Jillian made a bridge.
