The last official summer weekend, we made the most of it with lots of sprinklers and pool time!
On Saturday, we spent nearly all day with our friends. We enjoyed BBQ pork sandwiches, the kids played a while, and then we walked to their community pool in Clarksburg! It was about 1 & 1/2 mile walk, and it was a warm day. So we were all so excited to jump in that pool when we got there. After swimming for a couple of hours, we all walked back to our friends' house. The girls were exhausted after all the fun and crashed that night.
On Monday, Labor Day, we had a cook-out with our Care Group!
The kids had fun creating their own games with the water!
Anna loved every bit of it.
There was a lot of screaming
and laughter coming from the backyard.
Our "wet weekend" wasn't quite over, afterwards, we went to Gaithersburg and visited some more friends' who have a child-friendly pool! We took another walk to the pool. It was a humid day and we walked through a bit of forest. It was an absolutely beautiful walk, and it was a short-cut to the pool. But after we got through it, our friend told us he had seen several snakes in the creek/ forest we had just walked through.... on the way home, we took the long way home. :-)
