Xandra's Birthday Tea Party

Jillian and I had the blessing of celebrating the birthday of Xandra at a tea party the last Saturday of August. 

When we arrived, Trisha very cutely told the girls that she wasn't done with all the preparations and needed "help" with decorating some butterfly cookies. :-) The girls had so much fun decorating their cookies with icing, and an assortment of fruit (apples, grapes, pineapple, and kiwi).  

Then the girls were each given hats (one for themselves and one for their bear), purses and gloves to decorate with sequins, flowers, and ribbons!

After the girls were all dressed up, they took their bears on their very own picnic in the sunroom.  The girls served their bears fruit and cookies and had a marvelous time.  

After the bears were all fed, it came time for the girls to have tea! Trisha and Joe seated each of their girls and then they were served fruit tea in their tea cups and a yummy lunch. 

For lunch, the girls were served pigs in a blanket (our favorite), grapes, the butterfly fruit pizzas, and cheese sandwiches and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the shape of flowers (Trisha actually made home-made bread in a flower baking tin..so cool!).  

Mr. Joe was an amazing entertainer during the tea. In addition to being great tea pot, he is a fantastic juggler!

The girls played Tea Bingo and each one of them won a fun prize! 

After that, Miss Trisha painted the girls finger-nails.

Jillian wanted each of her nails to be a different color (just like Xandra).  On top of that, after her multi-colored nails were dry, she had the special treat of Miss Trisha going back and painting a smiley face and flower with white paint on two of her nails!  Jillian was all ready for a fun start for school on Monday! :-)

Happy 5th Birthday Xandra! Isn't Xandra's birthday tea-pot cake amazing?  Her mommy is one talented lady!

Xandra opening her present from Jillian! Jillian gave Xandra the game Connect - Four and a raccoon stuffed animal. The raccoon may seem super random but for a few weeks Jillian and Xandra talked about raccoons every time they saw one another.  Jillian thought it was super good gift for her friend. :-) 


Xandra gave Jillian as her birthday favor a new hand-made skirt for Jillian and her bear! It was such a special, fun-packed time!
