We spent a lot of time in the pool while at Grammie and Grandad's. The water felt amazing in the hot weather and the girls really grew in their confidence swimming.

Grandad had a funny trick up his sleeve. He had Jillian memorize five words from the newspaper that were semi-difficult (especially for a five-year old) and told her to "read" it to Grammie when she came in.
Immediately, when Grammie came in Jillian blurted out the words from the newspaper without even pointing to the newspaper or pretending to read it! Grammie thought Grandad was a silly guy and we all had a good laugh about his silly game!

Grandad is a fun guy to play castle with, but the girls did get a little annoyed that the castle doorbell kept ringing. First there was the pizza man, then the electricity guy, then the gardener, the list kept going on and on (Grandad played a lot different people)!
Jillian helped Grammie make chocolate cupcakes for cousin Emily's birthday! And Grammie being the sweet Grammie that she is, let Jillian have a "sample" of her work!
In the meantime, Brad, Leigha, and I went upstairs to play a little Wii bowling.
It was a lot of fun, I have not laughed that hard in a long time!

One of the nights we were in Colleyville, Brad visited his sister and brother-in-law to hang out and play games while I hung out with my dad! We had a fun time watching the television show The Marriage Ref together.
It was a fun, relaxing time with my family (and the BIG fun hadn't even begun yet!).
