A few weeks ago, Brad's best man, his wife, and daughter came up to see us. Last time we saw them, we visited them at their home in Norfolk, and went to the beach. They came to hang out for a few days over the three day MLK weekend. They left Norfolk Friday afternoon, and didn't get in until after all our kids had gone to sleep.

So the next morning, when Anna woke up (she got up at 6AM as she usually does), Chris kindly also got up to spend some quality time with Brad. No sooner did Chris come downstairs, than Anna crawled up into his lap (from her Daddy's!) and put her head down for a cuddle. Did she have an innate sense that this guy must be a lot like her Daddy? Was she attracted to the bright red shirt that is 10 years old? We may never know the answer. (Photo Commentary provided by Brad)

We enjoyed a deluxe breakfast at home, then all of us attended Jillian's first basketball game together (More to come about Upward Basketball). Then after the game, Rebekah and I went to Germantown to have some girl time together. We enjoyed Chick-Fil-A for lunch and then went to the Amish Market to pick up some cinnamon pretzels! Yummy! (And no, we didn't let Chris eat two! :-))

... while Rebekah played some Gobblet with Jillian.

Rebekah really did not want the girls to remember she and Chris as being the "boring guests". So in an effort to make it a memorable time, Rebekah created a choregraphed dance routine for all the girls & moms to show the dads when they got back from picking up our Baja Fresh dinner! The girls had so much fun as they ran around in circles, clapped their hands, and did all kinds of awesome "dance moves"! :-)

Then we had some free, interpretive dancing. Notice how Faith is really feeling the music, deep in her soul.
and some more clapping!

We wanted to do something special before our friends left for Norfolk, and it being so hot and steamy recently (well, ok, about 35°), we decided some frozen yogurt would do the trick. So we went to our favorite frozen yogurt place: 16 handles!!
