On Saturday, in celebration of Father's Day on Sunday, I signed up our family and the G family for an event at "my VIP" Chick-Fil-A. The director of marketing, Gina, always does a superb job with every event and I love that our family is known by name there! :-)

We got to the mall a little early, so the girls had fun riding in the fire truck for a little while.

We got to the mall a little early, so the girls had fun riding in the fire truck for a little while.

Before we went to lunch, we spent some time in the play area at the mall. Brad is a complete rule breaker (no food was allowed) and took a bite of his Godiva chocolate raspberry truffle. He thought he wasn't going to get caught, but he was wrong!

Brad was in a picture taking mood. First, he asked me to take a picture of him with each of the girls. (I think Jillian looks so much like her daddy in this picture. I love it! :-))

A moment captured of Brad with his dear friend Chris! Chris was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis about seven years ago. It has transformed his life in dramatic ways and yet he is one of the most encouraging people we know. He and Rebekah are now strong advocates of educating the public and have participated in several runs/ rides to work on finding a cure. It is a blessing to have him and his whole family in our life. We were sad to say good-bye to them shortly after our time at Chick-Fil-A, but we will definitely be looking forward to our next visit with them. :-)

As a grand finale to all of the photo-taking in the play area, Brad took a self-photo of the two of us. :-)

Then we enjoyed lunch at Chick-Fil-A. There were close to twenty families at the event and 4 different Father's Day baskets were given away with a raffle. Brad's ticket was the second ticket that was chosen and he chose this great grilling basket. We (did you notice, I changed it from being "he" to "we";)) won a $40 gift card to Omaha Steaks, several marinades and spices, as well as a Chef Mate BBQ grill set!! This has been a year of winning for the Holmes Family at Chick-Fil-A! :-) Woohoo & Happy Father's Day Brad!
