One of the things that I miss about living in the "South" is the display of Christmas lights and decorations. Last year, while living here in Maryland, we decided to go look at lights in the evening with the girls. We were out for more than an hour and saw less than a dozen houses decorated (VERY disappointing)! :-(
So this year, we decided to go the extra mile to make sure the girls saw some pretty lights for Christmas and visited the Brookside Gardens light display with our friends the Pull's. It was a little pricey ($20 if you bought tickets in advance or $25 at the gate for each car) but was well worth it. After the lights we went back to the Pull's house for some hot cocoa, decorated sugar cookies, popcorn, and a fun game! It was the perfect winter evening with friends.
