"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

At noon, we descended upon our friends, the Smith's house! This beautiful fruit turkey awaited us when we arrived.

Mimi and PawPaw meeting the Smith's for the first time and the girls greeting their special friend Lindsey. (If you look closely, you can see Michelle rushing around in the kitchen. She had everything under control, it was just a little busy. :-) All the food was delicious; they have FOUR great cooks/bakers in their family. All three of Michelle's kids love cooking just as much as their mom!)

While we waited for the other guests to arrive, the girls had fun playing outside on the playground with Chelsea and Lindsey.

And for eating and conversing with sweet friends! It was a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch and we were blessed by our friend's hospitality.

Little Anna was tuckered out by the time we got to the van. She took a good nap when we got home.

Then after naps (for all of us), we headed to our friends the Pull's house for dinner!

Brad, Niina & Chee Kin (friends from church), Mom and Dad Holmes, and I all sat at the same table. We enjoyed some wonderful conversations about different traditions from around the world and God's grace even in troubles. It was a wonderfully uplifting time and the food was amazing. I enjoyed two of Trisha's main dishes so much I adopted them for our Christmas meal for the first time this year! :-)

After dinner, it was time for relaxation in the family room. I got some cuddles from my sweet Jillian!

A little later we enjoyed Thanksgiving desserts! Do you think we had enough desserts to pick from?!?! We had Chocolate Mud Pie Dessert, Sugar Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie, and more Thanksgiving Pilgrim Hats (made by the Pull girls)

A self-portrait of Brad and me: I think this picture of the two of us is super sweet, even with my eye a little squished by Brad's cheek! :)

You guessed it! The "Texas" team won Final Jeopardy! I am giving a thumbs up for "Gig' Em' because the victory all came down to one question (a Jeopardy answer of course) "Who is George Herbert Walker Bush?"!!! It was a given that we had to know it, because our beloved Aggieland is the home to the George Bush Memorial Library! Whoop! (If the truth must be told the Tangy Lockards got the question correct too, but they just didn't bid as much as us! Another side-note, Trisha was not on our team she was "Jeopardy Vanna" :-))

As always, we enjoyed being in our dear friends home. This Thanksgiving was especially sentimental to us knowing that it was likely our last one with our beloved friends, the Pull's. In the next couple of months they will be moving to the Midwest. My heart already aches with how much our family will miss their family. In the meantime, I continue to give thanks to God for the time He has given us with their family! Their friendship is a beautiful blessing and we cherish them so very much.
It was a very Happy Thanksgiving.
