British Swim School

The girls took swimming lessons at the British Swim School for most of the month of July for two days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Even though both of them have taken swim lessons before, they started out as Minnows in the same class (they loved being together!).

British swim school focuses on swim survival. To be promoted to the next level, the child must be able to jump into the water, turn onto their back, and float for at least 20 seconds.

The girls did a great job going under water and "swimming" to the side. They also did a great job of  floating on their back for a few seconds all by themselves. We feel like it was a good time for both of the girls to be re-acclimated to the water and we look forward to doing more swim lessons in the future!
My little swimmers!

The swim instructor takes only one child (there were four in the class) into the water at a time during the lesson. So, in the meantime, the girls were able to play with some water toys on the side of the pool.

The end of the lesson was their favorite part when they had 5 minutes of play-time!  They sang songs, splashed one another, and just enjoyed being in the water.
Happy Swimming!

  1. Did you like them? We're looking into the Germantown location for Cooper for this fall.
